Digging Dog Nursery perennials

Brunnera macrophylla
‘Langtrees’
at Digging Dog

Brunnera

Siberian Bugloss

Handsome and undemanding, this ground cover forms large, tidy basal clumps of long-petioled, broad foliage, and displays charming vivid blue flowers that begin blooming in early spring and persist through Memorial Day. Preferring some shade and moisture, Brunnera is at home by water's edge, en masse in the border, or as a filler between newly planted shrubs.

Brunnera macrophylla ‘Langtrees’ partial shade

Neat arcs of stunning silver markings are splashed along the leaf margins of this variegated form of Brunnera macrophylla. The deep green, thick leaves, accompanied by sprays of tiny blue flowers, look elegant in our woodland garden with Euphorbia ‘Great Dixter’ and Primula cockburniana as neighbors.

Blooms mid-February–June.

Size: 15" high x 2' wide; hardy to zone 4.

Customer Comment:

“Your plants are about two times theirs (another nursery).  You are the best from what I can see.”
