Agastache foeniculum ‘Golden Jubilee’ at Digging Dog
Golden Jubilee Hyssop
Lovers of heat, these tough and drought resistant Mint family relatives guarantee terminal spikes adorned with brightly colored, tubular flowers just about all summer long. Agastaches are easily grown in well drained soils, and will bloom more profusely, over an even longer period of time, if the flowering stems are cut back in midseason. Agastache foeniculum ‘Golden Jubilee’
At long last, a golden-leafed Agastache! Bred by
the Dutch Sahin Seed Company and named in honor of Queen Elizabeth the II’s fifty-year reign,
this bushy beauty’s upright, compact form is
garnished with new leaves glowing chartreuse to
gilded yellow, then transmuting to a lime-green hue
when mature.
Its 2 to 3 in., bluish purple cylindrical
spires are a dazzling counterpoint against serrated,
mint-scented foliage. A brilliant accent for a container
or the perennial border accompanying Euphorbia
myrsinites and Nepeta reichenbachiana, long
blooming ‘Golden Jubilee’ requires
good winter drainage.
Blooms July–September. Size: 20" high x 20" wide; hardy to zone 5. Agastache foeniculum Golden Jubilee (P-1244) Each $7.00
