Anchusa

Anchusa Azurea ‘Feltham Pride Strain’ full sun

Prized for its very showy and wide branching spikes of rich gentian blue flowers, this long blooming, southern European cousin to forget-me-nots was bred in Germany. Lanceolate, fuzzy green leaves alternately sheathe a stand of strong hairy stems. The lavish summertime bloom looks stately in a bouquet or set against Cistus ‘Snow Fire’ with Diascia ‘Pink Adobe’ up front and Phlomis lanata’s added zest.

Forming a tidy, compact clump, ‘Feltham Pride’ requires excellent drainage and should be cut hard to maintain a pleasing form and ensure longevity. Zone 3/4.

Blooms May–September.

Size: 3' high x 16" wide; hardy to zone 4.

Customer Comment:

“I don't know how you folks do it, but the plants were in immaculate condition, cool and slightly damp upon arrival without a leaf out of place!  ...Digging Dog deserves high praise for being able to accomplish such a feat from one sizzling hot coast to another.”
