Our featured plant: Sarcococca ruscifolia

Sweet Sarcococca, Envisioning Spring, “DIG” into our 2022 catalog!

Sweet Sarcococca……

Aptly named Sweet Box, these handsome, shade-loving shrubs lend lustrous evergreen foliage and heavenly winter fragrance to a shady spot. Copious petite white flowers plus spherical red fruit perk up the deer-resistant dark green leaves that clothe close-knit low-lying stems. Tailor-made for hedging, containers, embellishing entranceways or carpeting the woodland garden, Sarcococca is an indispensable easy-care shrub for the winter landscape, appreciating regular watering as well as an annual shearing to maintain its dashing appearance. This year we’re offering a new introduction, Sarcococca hookeriana ‘Winter Gem’ along with Sarcococca ruscifolia.

We are eargerly envisioning the thrill of spring……

and a fresh beginning. Our 2022 catalog includes over 70 new plants plus many “golden oldies”. You’ll find plants that offer versatility, show-stopping glamor, long-lasting appeal or durable fuss-free tenacity in diverse microclimates and locales across the country. Many species create sustainable habitats plus afford welcome food for birds, pollinators and other wildlife. A few of our favorites are featured in this newsletter.

We sincerely value, each and every one of you, our much-appreciated kindred plant lovers. We wish you countless happy-digging days and good health.
